Assistant Controller
Decathlon Israel is looking for an Assistant Controller to join our Finance Team!
Job description:
- Participate in month-end closing procedures and assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support the company’s scale
- Analysis of Company’s results on a monthly basis
- Supervise the intercompany reconciliation balances and transactions
- Provide professional guidance and assistance for the bookkeeping staff
- Ad-hoc accounting and finance-related reports as needed
- Participate in preparations for the annual audit
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Job requirements:
- Big 4 firm experience – a must
- Degree in Accounting and CPA license - must
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Must have high expertise in Excel
- Analytical skills, highly motivated
- Excellent English skills (both written and verbal)
- Self-taught, able to lead processes, work independently, take full ownership
- Positive, hands-on, and proactive approach to problem solving
- Understanding of both financial and operational controls
- A team player with passion for sports
